Your tasks will include
eAgronom is on a mission to revolutionize agriculture, and to ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our company's database systems we are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA). This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in the planning and development of databases, while also troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise. Your expertise will ensure that our data remains consistent, clearly defined, and easily accessible, empowering our users and applications to perform at their best.

Andres, our CTO, who has been with us for nearly 6 years, will be your manager for this position. We can best describe him as a hands-on leader, with a passion for people, which shows in his team's high scores for employee satisfaction.

Your tasks include:
  • Develop and implement a data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and develop logical and physical data models, database schemas, tables, stored procedures, and views.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and upgrading of database management systems (DBMS).
  • Implement data governance frameworks and processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, including data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes.
  • Monitor and audit data processes to ensure compliance with data governance policies.
  • Implement and enforce database documentation, standards, and policies.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to refine database requirements.

Must-haves
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • You bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration.
  • You have strong knowledge of database design, backup/recovery, and security protocols.
  • You are familiar with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS).
  • You possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
